Bleechers Bar & Grill
About This Spot
Bleechers Bar & Grill is one of those neighborhood spots that feels alive the moment you walk in—a warm, ever-changing corner where the familiar rhythms of friendly chatter blend seamlessly with the spirited buzz of dart games and karaoke nights. Tucked into Maplewood along White Bear Avenue, this cozy bar strikes a rare balance between laid-back comfort and lively evenings. The space, intimate and inviting, encourages lingering over good drinks and shared plates, whether you’re settling in for a casual catch-up or a spirited night out with friends.
The atmosphere here carries a genuine sense of community, the kind you find in places where regulars swap stories over a round of craft beers and newcomers quickly feel welcome. With walls dotted by TV screens and a jukebox that sets just the right soundtrack, Bleechers is the kind of place where a spontaneous karaoke session feels perfectly at home, and conversations flow easily through the hum of classic tunes and clinking glasses.
Food at Bleechers reflects the bar’s dynamic character, blending familiar American grill favorites with unexpected Asian influences that reveal the evolving culinary spirit within its walls. It’s a menu that invites discovery—whether you’re taking on a hearty burger paired with crispy fries or exploring egg rolls dipped in a tangy fish sauce that feels like a nod to the local Vietnamese touch. This mix of flavors offers more than just a meal; it’s an experience shaped by the shared moments around the table and the stories exchanged over a perfectly crafted cocktail or a straightforward, satisfying PBR.
Evenings here carry a relaxed pace, where you can watch the game unfold across multiple screens or join in a communal cheer. The staff’s easygoing warmth grounds the place, making every visit feel less like going out and more like coming home to a spot where comfort and excitement meet just right. Whether you’re drawn by a craving for classic bar grub or intrigued by the occasional special—like birria tacos or loaded skins—the blend of tastes and the human moments make Bleechers much more than just a bar & grill in Maplewood.

Fantastic cheeseburger and peppered pickles were really good as well. Good service and plenty of TV's sealed the deal. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll be returning.

Stopped in because they said they served Pho. Has a mix of Classic American pub food and Asian. Paired my pho with some whiskey, it did not disappoint. Definitely recommend checking it out at least once especially with the new owner.

A slightly divy feeling bar, but they do have some tap beers, which is nice. They have a touch tunes jute box, darts, and plenty of TVs.

I don't go here often, and each time I've gone, there's been a change in food offerings. Several years ago, it was more American bar food. About 2 years ago, there was more of a Mexican and American food offering. As of a few days ago, it is an Asian and American food offering. We chose the selection of appetizers of potstickers, egg rolls, spring rolls and cream cheese wonton at $8/ea. The apps were tasty and our bartender was pleasant. The customers appeared to be regulars as the bartender was offering to get them their usual as they entered. A welcoming environment for the middle of the afternoon. I do wish the tap beer was colder, but I also didn't ask if they offered a frosted mug. I'd go again without hesitation.
